Abstract

This work presents the application of a new, enhanced version of the incremental learning system INTHELEX (Incremental Theory Learner from Examples), the learning component in the architecture of the EU project COLLATE, dealing with the annotation of cultural heritage documents. Due to the complex shape of the handled material, the addition of multi strategy capabilities was needed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning process. Some results demonstrating the benefits that the addition of each strategy can bring are also reported.
