Abstract

The article presents a history of the development of theoretical perspectives within the social and cultural anthropology from the early 20th century. Beginning with functionalism and structural functionalism, the author traces the influences of structuralism, Marxism, interpretivism, gender, cultural and post-colonial studies, concluding with a set of five themes characteristic for the contemporary anthropological research.Tekst predstavlja pregled razvoja socio-kulturne antropologije od pocetka XX veka, sa posebnim naglaskom na razlicite teorijske pravce, pocevsi od funkcionalizma i strukturalnog funkcionalizma. Osnovna teza teksta je da postoji citav niz tema koje su prisutne u savremenoj antropologiji, kao i da ove teme (ili skupovi tema) doprinose potpunijem razumevanju sveta u kome zivimo.
