Abstract

Until recently, the agro-industrial complex of Russia as a branch of economy had low business processes automation. At the present stage, digitalization and automation of the maximum number of agricultural processes of all forms of management is a priority task of the state. The strategic objective is to maximize automation of all production cycle stages to reduce losses, increase agricultural business productivity, optimal resource management, rural infrastructure digitalization, digital and financial literacy of rural population. Based on an analysis of economic literature, it was concluded that intensive introduction of digitalization and the Internet of things into agriculture transforms the less influenced IT industry into a high-tech business due to explosive growth of productivity and reduction of non-productive costs, providing security of regions and the whole country.
