Abstract

This paper presents virtual models of virtual experiment system, which are employed in the process of education of programmable logic controller (PLC) programming. Within control laboratory, the virtual models appear as well-suited alternate to physical-mechanical or process control model, whose feasibility, in laboratory conditions, is sometimes complicated. As we do both, the development and employment of virtual models, the paper includes approach to virtual models development, description of some of them as well as our experience of their usage. At the end, the possibility of remote connection to laboratory equipment is discussed. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
