Sterculia tragacantha Lindl. plants are endemic plants existing in Papua and have the potential of secondary metabolite compds. This research aimed to det. the antioxidant activity and fatty acid compn. of S. tragacantha Lindl. leaf ext. The ext. was obtained by maceration using methanol and n-hexane solvents. The antioxidant activity testing was carried out using DPPH (1,1-di-Ph 2-picrylhydrazyl) free radicals while the identification of fatty acid compds. was done using Gas Chromatog.-Mass Spectrometry (GCMS). The results showed that the methanol and n-hexane exts. of S. tragacantha Lindl. leaves had a strong antioxidant activity of 2.25 ± 0,09 ppm and 27,24 ± 1,25 ppm resp. Meanwhile, the fatty acid main contents of the methanol and n-hexane exts. of S. tragacantha Lindl. leaves were Me palmitate, Me linolenate, Linolelaidic acid Me ester, trans-9-elaidic acid Me ester, and Me palmitoleate.
