Abstract

The article analyzes the effects of the New Public Management and the digitalization in the reconfiguration of the school organizations culture. Based on three core dimensions of culture (time, space, and action), we reflect on the cultural metamorphoses developed in school organizations. The theoretical discussion is supported by a model of multidimensional analysis of culture, which integrates different cultural aspects in its matrix – school culture, school organizational culture, and organizational culture of the school. This reflexive digression, methodologically supported by the revisiting of theoretical contributions that have marked this issue, has allowed us to infer the presence of fragmenting forms of culture, enhanced by the increase of individualism, and by the decrease of the sense of belonging to the organization.
