Abstract

We demonstrate spectrally resolved transient grating (TG) spectroscopy in the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) near the M-edge of vanadium dioxide. Timedependent and broadband EUV-TG measurements separate the index of refraction change due to the insulator to metal transition from purely acoustic effects.
