Abstract

Based on embedded modular architecture design methods and RS485 bus communication technology, develops multiple-string photovoltaic (PV) power generation system. Presents the incremental conductance (IncCond) method based on the optimal gradient and integrates the constant voltage tracking (CVT) method to implement the efficient maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms for solar cell modules. Multiple low voltage PV DC modules in series-parallel controlled by the corresponding PV slave controller obtain high voltage DC, which can be inverted to AC directly controlled by the system master controller and eliminate power consumption caused by the traditional boosting transformer. The system master controller communicates with the slave controllers in full duplex mode via the RS485 bus, which realizes the distributed real-time control for the PV power generation system. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
