Abstract

For establishing sandwich technology in radiation protection constructions new filling materials were fixed and their attenuation characteristics in relation to X-rays (6-15 MV), protons (150-600 MeV) and carbon ions (150-430 MeV/u) were checked by Monte Carlo simulations and even so by direct measurements of transmitted dose at suitable sources. © 2009 Springer-Verlag.
