Abstract

Today's work is characterized by ongoing change processes. Although this is not a new phenomenon, there are signs, that these changes accelerate, become more important and vary in intensity, duration and frequency. Diverse trends in economics, politics and technology put pressure on organizations to optimize both their strategic position and their business performance (see Fig. 17.1). © 2009 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
