Abstract

Power transmission network inspections are essential for maintaining availability of electricity supply, but current methods require optimization. This research aimed to develop a solution using a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle), a monovision and a light detection and ranging (Lidar), in an adaptive artificial intelligence algorithm, to pilot it in a transmission line inspection power. Trajectory tests were performed in different environments, with GPS in auxiliary mode, and the tracking of lines in a real flight. We had good results to start tracking, especially in the simulated environment.
