Abstract

As life expectancy increases, so does the number of ambient assisted living (AAL) initiatives. These IT initiatives often traverse several research fields; from embed devices to multiple data streams analysis. Advanced processing and reasoning of such data streams poses a complex problem usually solved using local processing resources. This paper addresses this problem from a cloud computing perspective. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
