Abstract

In this paper, the author has characterized an ionization chamber's performance dominated by convective transport, provided exact solutions for different electrode geometries and a broad range of operating parameters, and developed an approximation to describe the performance of a detector in the presence of smoke particles. © 1977 The National Fire Protection Association.
