PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN DAN KETERAMPILAN KOMUNIKASI SEBUAH GEREJA DI SURABAYA MELALUI PEMBUATAN FILM DOKUMENTER BILINGUAL

Abstract

Roh Kudus church as one of the Catholic churches in Surabaya Archdiocese has an interest in maintaining relations and communication with the surrounding community and the people of Surabaya in general. However, the church has limited resources that do not yet have the ability and skills to create a means of communication that can reach the wider community. Communication tools that can also be used to convey the church's social mission that upholds the tolerance and diversity of the community. For this reason, the Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to: 1) increase the ability of the church to manage relationships and communication with diverse outside communities by producing documentary film, 2) increase the ability of the church to manage relationships and communication with their people by providing a training in documentary filmmaking for administrators and church people. Achieving this goal is done through making documentary filmmaking training which includes training on script writing, camera techniques, editing techniques, and audio-visual editing techniques for administrators and church members. The result and follow up activity of the training is the active participation of the church members and administrators in the documentary filmmaking in collaboration with the PKM team.
