Abstract

During this research two main objectives were pursued. First, a research has been conducted in order to check if teachers that use Cooperative Learning (CL) methodology in Physical Education (PE) put in practice Formative and Shared Assessment Systems. The second objective aimed to examine the responsibilities assumed by students of Primary Education in the assessment processes in the educational proposals of PE based on the CL. A multiple case study was carried out with three teachers to a PE permanent seminar with experience in CL. The data collection instruments were: direct observation, individual interview and documents analysis. Results showed that these teachers used Formative and Shared Assessment in their usual assessment practice and in their proposals with CL. The responsibility of their students in assessment is given in the assessment of their learning and in the assessment of teaching process. Teachers valued positively this participation, due to the benefits to them and to the students.
