Conservative treatment of fresh subcutaneous rupture of the achilles tendon

Abstract

Twelve patients with rupture of the Achilles tendon were successfully treated with immobilization in plaster for 8 weeks and with raised shoe-heels for 4 weeks. the results are discussed in the light of earlier literature on surgical versus conservative treatment. © 1976 Informa UK Ltd All rights reserved: reproduction in whole or part not permitted.
