The energy consumption of transmitting data during the process of UAVs co-execution task affects the performance of the UAV CPU and the quality of the task accomplished. In order to reduce the energy consumption of data transmission in UAV networks, this paper proposes an energy-aware target UAV selection mechanism based on optimal stopping method. First, under the premise of the maximum transmission limit time, the UAV energy consumption model of data transmission to find the optimal target UAV is established. Second, the problem of reducing the energy consumption of the model is turned into a stopping problem of finding the optimal time and optimal target UAV. Finally, combined with the target UAV selection constraints, a mechanism for selecting the optimal stopping target UAV is proposed to minimize total energy consumption. The simulation analyzes the influence of different parameters on the optimal data-energy efficiency by comparing our proposed optimal stopping target UAV selection mechanism with other selection mechanisms. The results show that our mechanism outperforms its counterparts in energy savings and lower packet loss for the data transmission among UAVs.
