Guidelines for the prevention of endocarditis: Report of the working party of the British society for antimicrobial chemotherapy

Abstract

These guidelines have been produced following a literature review of the requirement for prophylaxis to prevent bacterial endocarditis following dental and surgical interventions. Recommendations are made based on the quality of available evidence and the consequent risk of morbidity and mortality for 'at risk' patients. © 2006 Oxford University Press.
