Abstract

Primary tumors of the spine are rare; however, it is important that the features of primary spine tumors are familiar to spine surgeons so that treatment is not compromised. The purpose of this chapter is to assist the reader in developing a rational approach to patients with tumors of the spine rather than to serve as a comprehensive text on neoplastic conditions in the spine.
