The article presents a study which investigated the factors influencing individual health insurance demand in Malaysia. The study used data from the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS). Results revealed that the factors affecting salaried individuals include income level, age, and gender, while those influencing non-salaried individuals include race-religion, education level, and marital status.
