This chapter describes how the different rehabilitation services have contributed to the rehabilitation of persons with mental illness, as well persons with intellectual disability (intellectual disability has replaced mental retardation in international literature, and similar changes are being proposed in the developing countries as the word mental retardation carries lot of stigma). The chapter will also discuss the scope of such services in other parts of the country as well as in the other parts of the world.
