Abstract

Banking corporation studies are interesting for the researcher, but aside from the regulator, there are not many who can use the findings to improve how banks operate. But bank branch studies are, on the other hand, of much more interest to those who are being studied, as the DEA results can very well be a significant opportunity for managers to do better, perhaps even a lot better. The following examples detail a number of interesting approaches to branch performance measurement and improvement.
