Uk’Ay K’ax (El Canto de La Selva—Song of the Rainforest)

Abstract

We, the co-authors of this chapter built a community organization called Colibri (Hummingbird). In this chapter we describe our dream of creating and re-creating cultural festivities and ceremonies as well as a school in which generations can learn about our knowledge and praxis systems in our Mayan Lacandon language.
