Consumer behavior research is one of the most dynamic topics of its development due to the dynamics of human life that continue to change. Consumer behavior continues to change from time to time, considering consumers always interact with their environment. This study seeks to provide how research on consumer research developed in the period 1971-2020 using text mining method. This research aims to help other researchers to develop topics of future consumer behavior research. Consumer behavior begin to have links with strategic issues related to policies and the environment. Technological developments and culture also influence the development of consumer behavior topics. These illustrate that the topic of potential consumer behavior is to be further explored and developed by linking issues that are strategic policies, cultural difference, and technological development.
