Abstract

IT adoption often experiences rejection. Besides experiencing rejection, it is usually being considered to have no clear positive impact on the performance of multinational companies. Several factors influence the IT adoption in multinational companies, such as perceived usefulness and government regulations. This research conducted a systematic literature review related to IT adoption in MNEs, which includes factors of IT adoption and how IT adoption has an impact on the performance of multinational companies. Articles used as the material in this literature study are articles that are published in reputable journals internationally and are Scopus indexed. Article searches are limited to those published between 2009 and 2021. The results of this study indicate to determine the factors that influence IT adoption in multinational companies is to use the TOE framework. IT adoption also has a positive impact on the performance of multinational companies, especially related to economic performance and operational performance.
