Abstract

Being mobile is natural to man. Engineering technologies have contributed immensely to human mobility. This paper looks at how current computing technologies are impacting human mobility and sustainability. We present a few examples from the TCS research standpoint, how digital forces improve the travel and transportation ecosystems in an incremental manner. We also look at some disruptive changes digital forces can bring to the travel and transportation industry. We discuss some examples of digital forces that can contribute to sustainability.
