The main topic of this paper is the life-long education. The rapidly evolving world permanently challenge both individuals and governments as the productivity and educational level of the state work-force is one of the most important factors of the long term success in both financial and social sectors. The paper describes an e-education system that should be funded by the state and exposed to all citizens in order to constantly upgrade their skills. The broad potential auditorium and targets of such system define certain unique requirements that should be met by the context driven personalized approach of delivering information as proposed in the paper. It makes the process of acquiring knowledge simpler for all categories of users and stabilizes the virtual learning environment from the data protection point of view. © Springer Science+Business Media B.V. 2010.
