Abstract

Epidural Hematoma (EDH) is a condition where there is a buildup of blood between the skull and the dura mater. One of the treatments for patients with EDH is to perform operative actions in the form of Craniotomy in post-craniotomy patients on indications of an epidural hematoma. Nursing problems often occur in the form of decreased intracranial adaptive capacity. This case study aims to describe nursing care of decreased intracranial adaptive capacity in Mr. N with post operation cranyotomi on indication of epidural hematoma in Intensive Care Unite (ICU) RSUD Kardinah Tegal City. A descriptive case study conducted from March 16, 2022 to March 19, 2022, in the Intensive Care Unite (ICU) RSUD Kardinah, Tegal City. with a patient population of 1 respondent, the data collection techniques used include: interviews, physical examinations, observations, documentation studies. After conducting an assessment of Mr. N, it was found that the decrease in intracranial adaptive capacity is one of the priority problems that often occur in Post Craniotomy patients. After nursing care actions, the decrease in intracranial adaptive capacity associated with cerebral edema (Epidural hematoma) has not been resolved.
