Chapter 6: Piecewise constant control

Abstract

This chapter provides the theoretical framework for external control applied to a master equation formalism, when the control parameters are changed in a piecewise constant fashion. Both open-loop and closed-loop (feedback) control are discussed, and it is shown how the Wiseman-Milburn control can be expressed using Kraus maps. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2014.
