Abstract

psychoanalysis permits to discuss the notion of "gender" as a normative system of classifications and identifications. This system could be understood within the context of the "cultural superego" of a period - which was introduced by Freud in 1930 and which could be seen such as a Freudian theory of ideology. Through the study of the 2011 movie Tomboy by Céline sciamma, the author proves that an analysis in terms of ideology - such as the one introduced by Althusser - can scarcely explain the subjective changes if a second stage is not taken into account, which is the act and its unconscious and phantasmatic causes.
