Abstract

(from the chapter) a model of the evolution of the concept of time in children is presented / integrates conclusions derived from studies stimulated by Piaget, which aimed to either support or contradict his framework / my point of departure is that the concept of time involves two structures: a production structure, in which time is defined by the relation between product and speed, and a temporal limits structure, in which duration is defined by the relation between starting and ending times / studies supporting as well as challenging the model are reviewed, and new questions are suggested
