Abstract

Agriculture is an ativity of great importance for human race survival, that also establishes a very special relation with its supportive environment. As a crucial element of the modern agriculture, pesticides represent a new paradigm. They have been boosting a significant increase of agricultural production up to such a point, that human kind is subordinated and also the target of their side effects. This essay talks about their concepts and effects thoughtout the environment, as well as a brief historical account of their origins and how they were introduced in Brazil.
