Abstract

Information is presented for use in selecting, specifying, and applying representative types of ball bearings which are commercially available. The classes and types discussed are: radial (8 types), angular-contact (7 types), and thrust (3 types). Thin-section bearings, for light loads and moderate speeds, are also described. Tables list the approximate range of bore sizes, the relative capacities (radial and thrust), the limiting speed factor and the tolerance to misalignment of all types described.
