Physical Protection of the Seabed and Coast by Artificial Reefs

Abstract

Of the available systems for sea defence for 14 km of eroding coastline in Norfolk, England, an offshore reef system was considered to be the best option. Four reefs have been completed and their performance has been monitored. A further five reefs, and associated work, will commence in 1996.
