Abstract

Happiness and quality of life are concepts used to represent peopleâs well-being. However, some discrepancies exist on which elements are to be considered to measure the well-being of the population. Using three similar surveys at three different levels of government, this study aims to compare the determinants of well-being of Mexican citizens. According to the results, there is not a uniform set of variables explaining well-being when different definitions of well-being and/or different samples are used.
