Abstract

Abstract. Bandung Sneaker Season is the first sneakers and streetwear event to be held in Bandung, an annual event that was first created in 2018 by Maks.co Event Organizer. At the event, there were a number of interesting activities such as Raffles (shoe auctions at low prices), shoe Auctions and Giveaways, Talkshows, and there were dozens of tenants selling various collections of rare sneakers, which are currently hype. Usually this event is held and attended by visitors directly. However, the Covid-19 phenomenon requires the event to be held through a Virtual Event or online. This research is entitled Event Management Bandung Sneaker Season and the purpose of this research is to find out how event management carried out by Bandung Sneaker Season in forming an event through Virtual Events during the Covid-19 Pandemic, because Bandung Sneaker Season is the first time to carry out online events such as this and provide interest for visitors. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach which aims to determine the Event Management strategy carried out by the Bandung Sneaker Season committee, especially in the event division. The supporting data for this research was obtained from interviews with the main informant of the Event Director Bandung Sneaker Season and the key informant of the research, namely the CEO of the Event Organizer Mask.co, then conducted direct observations by researchers, documentation and literature studies. The results of this study show that the Bandung Sneaker Season team carried out careful planning to prepare virtual events from the Bandung Sneaker Season, carried out more effective coordination through online coordination both with internal and external parties, adjusted as much as possible with changes in the implementation of events from offline. going online, also considering the advantages of virtual events as the main reason for carrying out events so that event management is carried out optimally and in accordance with the objectives. Abstrak. Bandung Sneaker Season merupakan event sneakers dan streetwear pertama yang diselenggeakan di Kota Bandung, eventtahunan yang pertama kali diciptakan pada tahun 2018 oleh Maks.co Event Organizer. Pada event tersebut terdapat beberapa rangkaian kegiatan yang menarik seperti Raffles (lelang sepatu dengan harga murah), Auction dan Giveawaysepatu, Talkshow, dan terdapat puluhan tenant yang menjual berbagai koleksi sneakers langka juga yang tengah hype pada masa kini. Biasanya event ini dilaksanakan dan dihadiri oleh pengunjung secara langsung. Namun dengan adanya fenomena Covid-19 mengharuskan acara diselenggarakan melalui Event Virtual atau secara online. Penelitian ini berjudul Event Management Bandung Sneaker Season dan tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana event management yang dilakukan oleh Bandung Sneaker Season dalam membentuk suatu acara melalui Event Virtual di masa Pandemic Covid-19, karena Bandung Sneaker Season baru pertama kali melaksanakan event secara online seperti ini dan memberikan ketertaikan bagi pengunjungnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi Management Event yang dilakukan oleh panitia Bandung Sneaker Season khususnya pada divisi acara. Data penunjang penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan informan utama Event Director Bandung Sneaker Season dan key informan penelitian yaitu CEO Event Organizer Mask.co, lalu melakukan observasi langsung oleh peneliti, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa team Bandung Sneaker Season melakukan perencanaan yang matang untuk mempersiapkan event virtual dari Bandung Sneaker Season, melakukan koordinasi yang lebih efektif melalui koordinasi online baik itu dengan pihak internal maupun eksternal, menyesuaikan diri semaksimal mungkin dengan adanya perubahan pelaksanaan eventdari offline ke online, juga mempertimbangkan kelebihan event virtual sebagai alasan utama pelasakanaan event sehingga management event yang dilakukan tetap maksimal dan sesuai dengan tujuan.
