Abstract

Upon completion of the chapter, the student will be able to: 1. Differentiate between transient ischemic attack (TIA) and nonhemorrhagic and hemorrhagic stroke. 2. Understand the etiologies and diagnostic evaluation of stroke and cerebrovascular disease. 3. Appreciate the acute management, and primary and secondary preventive strategies in stroke. 4.
