The study used a Purposive Sampling technique, in which researchers took research subjects to the people in Tewah Subdistrict, Gunung Mas Regency with the criteria of the people who were in the research location, Islamic families, and carried out Islamic marriages. The results of this study conclude that first, the understanding of Muslim Dayak families in the village of Sarerangan, Tewah Regency is not good, because the community is believed to be a Muslim dayak is the desire to learn more deeply about religion continuously. Secondly, the implementation of customary marriage by Muslim Dayaks has a good goal to preserve traditional customs from generation to generation, and to minimize the occurrence of divorce in the future, but there are some things that are detrimental to Islamic rules, namely the habit of gathering couples after adat marriage. Third, in Islamic rules no one prioritizes traditional marriage before marrying Islam, but the habit of collecting marriage between two marriages is prohibited because it contradicts Islamic law which prohibits some men and women from pairing without legal ties in Islam.
