Abstract

Mobile Ad hoc network is a self-configuring, an autonomous system and self organizing infrastructure less network of mobile nodes. These nodes are mobile in nature, used to move anywhere and communicating with each node in the network. Though it is ease in development and infrastructure less in nature the MANET makes highly popular for multimedia applications. In a MANET, the transmission and reception of the data between the source and destination depend on the performance of the traffic type (data type and application type). The objective of this paper is to compare the TCP/FTP and UDP/CBR for AODV routing protocol and used to compare the parameters like Packet delivery ratio, throughput and improved the QoS parameters of the AODV protocol. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is analyzed using the simulated results.
