Abstract

Italgas is the most important player in Italy in the distribution of gas and the third in Europe: it manages a distribution network that extends for a total of about 71,000 km through which it distributes over 9 billion cm of gas to 7.6 million users. The Group, including its non-consolidated subsidiaries, holds more than 1800 concessions, with an historical presence in the main cities of the country. Italgas’ Strategic Plan for the period 2019-2025-with an overall investment forecast of €4.5 billion-has as main focus the innovation and digital transformation of the company through the digitisation of assets and processes and the development of digital skills for all the employees. This digital transformation programme is combined with the creation of the natural gas distribution network in Sardinia, thus reaffirming the role-as in the past-of a Company that develops the Country’s infrastructure, new M&A operations, and further organic growth, in terms of network extension and users served.
