Abstract

New equations for the surface tension of nitrogen, argon, and oxygen have been developed and incorporated in a mixture model which predicts the surface tension of air and air component mixtures. Independent variables for the mixture surface tension model are the liquid mole fractions of nitrogen, argon, and oxygen, and the bubble point temperature. Predictions from the new surface tension equations are compared with experimental pure fluid and mixture data.
