Abstract

The influence of magnetic fields on the adsorption of some dyes and other substances from aqueous solution by activated carbon was studied. In a similar manner, the influence of magnetic fields on barium ion sorption by some zeolites from ordinary (H2O) and heavy (D2O) water was investigated. The data obtained suggest that the presence of a magnetic field decreases the hydrogen bonding energy between water molecules.
