Abstract

The thermoelastic martensite transformation from the beta //1 phase to the gamma prime phase in a Cu-14. 2Al-4. 3Ni alloy, near the (Cu, Ni)//3Al composition, was analyzed by the so-called phenomenological theory using previously published experimental data. An explanation for the unique morphology of the alloy is suggested.
