Abstract

Social networking services are interactive services that allow users to build friendships or social relations with others on the Internet. They have played a central role in human interchange networks based on openness. Recently, however, groundless rumors have been spread by making bad use of their openness and a lot of users have been adversely affected by various attacks violating private information. Therefore, information on social networks should be able to be delivered to trustworthy persons or be provided from them. Accordingly, this paper proposes a remote trust evaluation scheme that improves the existing schemes, and provides a method for improving security by applying the proposed scheme to access control on social networks.
