Abstract

Problem solving is the ability required by today's generation to be able to deal with complex problems. Therefore, this competence is one of the learning objectives set by the government. Ironically, problem solving ability of students is still in the low category in Mathematics Learning Media Course. Therefore, this research aims to develop student worksheet based on STEM with quality standards: (1) validity, (2) practicality and (3) effectiveness, then can be used to improve problem-solving ability. This research was conducted on IT-based mathematics learning media subjects which consisted of 32 students. The development of this teaching material is based on the steps of the ADDIE Model which consists of five steps. Some of the research instruments used are: 1) questionnaires, 2) observation sheets, 3) validation sheets and 4) essay test based on the problem solving. The results showed the student worksheet was in a valid and practical category. In addition, this product is very effective to improve the problem-solving ability of the students in Mathematics Learning Media Course.
