Abstract

The article offers the author's insights on the aspects of child abuse and the duty of health care professionals towards potential cases. She mentions some signs of child abuse, such as humiliation of a child, domestic violence and frequent injuries. She suggests various measures to be taken by health providers working with young people to address their duties of care, such as a policies for child safety, staff recruitment policy and case reporting.
