Abstract

This chapter summarizes briefly the three major abstract and index databases accessible through the internet which record scientific publications and related citations. Web of Knowledge, Scopus, and Google Scholar are introduced and their content and major features are described. The chapters concludes with a comparison which includes advantages and disadvantages of these reference pages.
