From the need to prepare graduate students in the field of Information and Documentation in competencies and digital skills, we describe the curriculum developed at the Carlos III University of Madrid with the new Degree in Information and Digital Contents Management. First, we give a brief review of history of Library & Information Science in higher education in Spain. Then we analyze the causes that led to the old Degree in Information and Documentation at the Carlos III University of Madrid to lose attractiveness in recruiting new students. Finally, we analyze the pillars on which the new degree program was designed, organized and implemented. (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
