Abstract

Cu-Mo mineralization in Mongolia is located within the superimposed metallogenic belts. They are controlled by elongate volcanic belts with a sublatitudinal trend. The transverse fault system has played an important part in the formation of ore-concentrating structures. Intersection of transverse faults and those trending along the volcanic belt account for the conditions which favour the magmatic centres hosting the ore fields.-R.E.S.
