Three dimensional laser scanner obtains lots of point cloud data. This paper researched the organization of point cloud data, and proposed that organized the point cloud data using linear quadtree, established index, extracted the point cloud data according to need in block, visualization in layer. The experiment proved that query efficiency was higher, which facilitate subsequent feature extraction operation. © Springer-Verlag 2012.
